Mon 30 Mar 2015 19:48. SEAT Altea XL - EGR Valve cleaning - 5cylinderdiesel. Hi. I have a 1.9 TDi that is now 8 years old with 140 000 miles on the clock. It does 25 miles daily one way and get's new oil every 10k. It is still working fine no issues, but I am wonderimg is it worth cleaning the EGR valve? Will that be worth doing and is a expensive?
